Beyond The Mix Entertainment

Experience

I don't just DJ.   I've been a musician for over 30 years.  I have studied music from the early years of grammar school via the clarinet.   That began by me learning to read musical composition as early as the fourth grade and it continued throughout high school and into college.   I have had some of the best teachers and private instructors in the music industry.  This contributed to my interest in learning the guitar as I became a freshman in high school.   This eventually led to me playing for various rock and heavy metal/metal/punk rock/post hardcore/emo bands that spanned many years from high school to long after I graduated college and entered my primary career in public service.    Oh and I'm also a drone pilot!

Biography/

Highly experienced  DJ playing for some of the most diverse crowds in the industry.  Weddings, engagement parties, birthday parties, retirement parties, special occasions.  This is all in addition to many years experience as a bar and club DJ.   You name it, I probably can do it.  I also completed a course in Logic Pro several years back allowing me skills in music production, everywhere from rock and metal to electronic and house music.  I am currently enrolled in an online mixing and mastering course to further my post production and mastering skills.

I can say humbly and without ego that I'm not your average person or  musician. I started my musical training at the age of 10 under the strict teaching of Jack Trager, himself a musician who played numerous instruments.

It was clear from that moment  that music was to be a significant part of my life. . This early training turned out to be invaluable, as it paved the way for further interest and  more formal training with some of the best teachers and online schools in the world.

My interest in metal and learning the guitar began in 1988 when I discovered an awesome heavy metal station, 89.5FM WSOU, Seton Hall's Pirate Radio.  This is a college radio station run entirely by students of Seton Hall.    It was at that very moment I knew I wanted to attend Seton Hall University when I would get to that time to enter college.   I made it happen.  I got accepted to Seton Hall, applied for a position at WSOU and got hired, leading to a rewarding career as an on air DJ for one of the most popular college radio stations in the world.  It allowed me to broadcast to over 100,000 listeners per week and to interact and even meet/interview some of the most renowned metal bands in the world such as Life of Agony, Fear Factory, Cro Mags, Shelter, Korn, Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer, Marilyn Manson, just to name a few.  This was also during a time where we have not yet been blessed with the technology of satellite radio nor live internet broadcasting as of yet.
